On May 5, Polo Limited had the distinguished honour of welcoming the Ambassador of Italy to Nigeria, H.E. Roberto Mengoni, to the Polo Head Office in Lagos for a courtesy visit that underscored the growing relationship between Nigeria and Italy within the luxury and fashion industries.
The ambassador was warmly received at Polo Towers in Victoria Island by Polo Limited’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. John Obayuwana, alongside Executive Director, Mrs. Jennifer Obayuwana. He was accompanied by representatives from the Italian Trade Office in Nigeria, further emphasizing the shared commitment to strengthening bilateral business relations.

Over the years, Polo has built strong relationships with globally renowned Italian brands such as Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, Versace, Roberto Coin, Pomellato and more, becoming a key player in the promotion of fine jewellery, fashion, and lifestyle experiences within Nigeria and across West Africa.
Speaking during the visit, both parties highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and strategic partnerships in driving growth within the luxury sector. The meeting also reflected Polo’s ongoing commitment to positioning Nigeria as a thriving destination for international luxury brands, while reinforcing efforts to further expand the frontiers of luxury retail through meaningful cross-border collaborations.
